Why should you learn Arabic?

Many people who speak multiple languages have advantages that set them apart because they can communicate with more people and learn about more cultures. Two-thirds of the world’s population speaks 12 languages. Arabic is the fourth most spoken language in the world, with more than 422 million people speakers and more than 22 countries that its mother language is Arabic.
Well, if you are asking yourself, “Why should I learn Arabic?” mostly if you are residing in the KSA, here are some of these reasons:
1. Arabic is the fourth most spoken language in the world, according to UNESCO. If you learn Arabic, you will communicate with more than 422 million people in the world!
2. Arabic is about culture. Arabic is not just a language for communication; rather, it will open new doors to look at the Arab culture, civilization, and history.
3. Arabic helps you overcome communication barriers and making new friends. Have you ever needed to communicate with a sell person or Uber driver? Have you been invited to a party and did not understand the conversations between people? This is an excellent reason to learn Arabic.
4. The Arabic language opens new opportunities. The KSA constitutes a huge market for many industries, not to mention the investment opportunities in the tourism, communications, and construction sector, making it the focus of many investors and entrepreneurs. Since you are residing in the KSA, your Arabic skills could set you apart from other candidates.
5. Learning Arabic makes traveling enjoyable. If you speak Arabic, your travel will be easy to move between airports, hotels, and vital places in Arab countries. It will help you understand the local culture on your own, away from the misconceptions transmitted by the media.
6. Arabic is the language of literature and arts. The Arab world is unique in its rich culture of literature, art, and music. When you develop your Arabic skills, you will inevitably find enjoyment in reading Arabic literature and poetry from various past eras.
7. If you are a Muslim, learning Arabic is a priority. Learning Arabic gives you the right to properly understand Islam and read the Quran and the hadiths without translation. You will have a lot to learn directly from the sources.
8. Learning Arabic is fun and a new experience. Do not let your stay in KSA end while you have not learned Arabic yet! It is your chance to allocate time in your busy schedule to learn a new language.
